Featured: Pigs gone Wild - 2016
St Elizabeth Hospice and Wild in Art have launched the largest mass participation art event in Suffolk. The interactive sculpture trail will feature more than 40 pigs across Ipswich and beyond.
The pigs, beautifully decorated by artists and generously sponsored by local businesses, will be on show for 10 weeks this summer.
After you have enjoyed Pigs Gone Wild during its 10-week extravaganza, the large pig sculptures will be auctioned to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice, who are dedicated to providing specialist care and support for people in Suffolk who have a life-limiting illness.
SLi have provided complete logistics for the whole event, utilising expert knowledge and specialist equipment to overcome various logistics challenges. Richard Triolo, Managing Director at SLi, said: “Pigs Gone Wild will be a great fun for Ipswich and the local area whilst supporting a very important charity. We are very proud to be sponsoring our own sculpture as well as making sure each of these superbly designed pigs makes it to their new home on the exhibition trail. We hope that many visitors from all over the UK will take part and enjoy the sculptures on display for 10 weeks in Ipswich”.
We delivered 40 x 1500 kg 2.1m long pigs all around Ipswich. The team encountered multiple obstacles, street furniture and challenging locations.
40 pigs were perfectly positioned in poor weather conditions, utilising Hiab & Moffett vehicles to deliver the pigs safely from the sty. We are proud to be an official sponsor and logistics partner of Pigs Gone Wild.
